Ichigo's Zanpakuto Zangetsu Kurosaki Sword from Bleach

Ichigo Kurosaki is a human Shinigami hybrid and the main protagonist of Bleach. As someone who is both human and Shinigami, he is given the rare title of Substitute Shinigami. His main role is to protect the human world from evil spirits known as Hollows.

Ichigo gets his Shinigami powers from Rukia Kuchiki, who transfers her abilities to him during a Hollow attack. After this event, he starts fighting spiritual enemies using his strong spiritual energy. Unlike normal Soul Reapers, Ichigo’s power is unstable but extremely strong, which allows him to grow quickly during battles.

Zangetsu – Ichigo’s Zanpakutō

Zangetsu is Ichigo’s main weapon and the physical form of his spiritual power. It is formed from the combination of his Shinigami and Hollow abilities, making it different from normal Zanpakutō used by other Soul Reapers.

The sword has a large, heavy blade that looks like a cleaver instead of a traditional katana. It has no proper guard and reflects Ichigo’s raw and unrefined spiritual strength. Zangetsu can release powerful energy attacks, including a crescent-shaped slash made from concentrated spiritual pressure. It also reacts to Ichigo’s emotions and becomes stronger when his fighting spirit increases.
